There’s a lot of talent in the Deaf community. Deaf people make good workers. It gives me pleasure to see more Deaf people find good, challenging jobs, and a decrease in the the number of unemployed and under-employed Deaf people.
I set up this Website as a way of helping Deaf people find jobs. Despite the news reports and gossip we keep encountering about downturns in the U.S. economy, I believe that there are lots of good jobs available. But those who could benefit by applying may not know about them. This Website aims to connect job openings with Deaf jobseekers.
This site is designed as a beginning, not an end. If we get a really good response, we can have a Deaf Jobs Conference—a job fair bringing together recruiters and prospective Deaf employees.
To jobseekers: I hope you find the job you’ve been searching for. You can browse and respond to whichever posts you like, free of charge.
To employers: I hope that you will support this site by posting your announcements here. For the price of a dinner, short taxi ride, or cheap theater ticket, you can post a position announcement for a month, reaching dozens, hundreds, even thousands of potential applicants.
